Olympic Game

August 8～24，2008, the 29th Olympic Game will be held at Beijing.

The opening ceremony is performed in the National Stadium?. Many Chinese elements were displayed during the performance. These include the Four Great Inventions, Fei Tian?, Fou Drum, Chinese Painting?, Chinese Calligraphy, Taichi?, Beijing Opera?, Kunqu?, Fireworks?, etc.

In the ceremony, a song Ode to the Motherland moved billions people.

In this Game, Chinese team won the first place in the gold medal count first time in history. Many people contributed the success on the vast supply of Chinese youth, hardwork and talent of the athletes, and the rigorous training of the coaches, including those so called Yang Jiao Tou. A project called Project 119 also caught people's attention due to its success.

A group of Chinese expat immigrated and naturlized to other countries. They are called Oversea Corps and contriuting to their new motherland as either athletes or coaches.
